American Pickers star Mike Wolfe has been brutally slammed by customers for selling 'cheap merchandise' in his antiques store located in Iowa, with Google Reviews not holding back

American Pickers' Mike has been slammed by customers for selling merchandise at his Iowa-located antiques store.

The 58-year-old is famed for owning Antique Archaeology and appearing on the much-loved History channel and A+E programme American Pickers.

Mike owns a string of antiques store, which are located across America, with stores located in Le Claire, Iowa and Nashville, Tennessee.

The reality television series, that premiered in 2010, sees the hosts Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby travel across America to hunt out rare Americana artifacts and national treasures that they can then sell in their shops.

But it has now come to light that antiques and rare finds aren't the only items that Mike stocks in his shops, with it being revealed that he also sells merchandise too.

According to recent Google Reviews for Mike's Antique Archaeology store in Iowa, much of the stock on offer to buy in his shop comprises of "cheap" merchandise to promote his brand.

The US Sun have revealed that one review read: "Seriously there was only a handful of stuff that had been potentially picked. The rest of it was cheap Chinese-branded merchandise used to promote the store.

"I get it's a tourist trap, but come on at least do better than that. I would have happily dropped hundreds of dollars in there if it was something really cool. Instead, it was like three things that had been picked ranging from $200 to $4,000."

While another person added: "This is more of a souvenir shop for the show. Not many antiques at all."

A third then penned: "Was very disappointed. We made this a special stop on our drive home, took this route especially for this experience. Both buildings are very small and mostly gift shops selling their own merchandise.

"Grabbed an item as a souvenir, marked $3, but charged $9. And for as much as Mike and the team picks, where is it?"

While a fourth wrote: "This place looks bigger on TV, parking with a trailer is hard. Still, it's a cool place to visit! Staff was nice. Merch was typically overpriced, but eh... It's not a big deal."
