Newsboy expects his nap, Silver Gunn, to score a fifth career victory at Windsor and he also fancies Inexplicable to come good at Wolverhampton

SILVER GUNN is fancied to rack up a fifth career win by beating eight rivals for the Download Fitzdares For Free Race Streaming Handicap (7.45) at Windsor this evening.

The Marco Botti-trained grey has drawn a blank in six attempts since scoring over course and distance in May of last year. But there was enough in his return to the fray, again over 10 furlongs on Thamesside, a week ago to think Silver Gunn is ready to fire.

Keen during the early stages, the five-year-old made his way into a challenging position on the run to the final furlong before fading as lack of a recent run took its toll, eventually finishing a three-length third to Peace Man.

My selection scored second time out in both 2021 and 2022 so a step forward from that reappearance is expected here and a British Horseracing Authority mark of 82 - 2lb higher than for his latest victory - looks there to be shot at.
